Players

The players at Games Overboard are a highly diverse group of utterly strange, random geeks, and social misfits from the dirth and breadth of humanity.  Lead by their passion (read: fanaticism) for board games, card games, video games, etc. they meet as regularly as possible to satiate their need to think, strategize, and maneuver their pieces around whatever board is on the table.

Following are the Bios of the people you’ll see in the videos, hear from in the reviews, and link to online through Games Overboard.

Brian (aka The Brain, but only because we can’t spell)

Brian is the mastermind and leader of the pack.  His excessive love of games has lead him to purchase and trade for more board and card games than can comfortably fit into most professional football stadiums.  Outside of gaming, Brian is married to Deanna and makes his living fixing musical instruments.  They live in Tempe, AZ with their dog, Sawyer.  Contact Brian.

TJ (aka TJSunDevil) IT guru and gaming geek, TJ is the second in command of this directionless bunch.  Always quick to look up the correct rules and make sure they are adhered to, TJ guides players to ensure their strategery knows no bounds. When not gaming, TJ can be found working for ASU as a computer technician.  He lives with his girlfriend, Michelle, in Mesa, AZ.

Contact TJ. Tim (aka timbuktuk) Usually screaming and cursing with delight, Tim’s subtlety (whether mustached or not) in his gaming is only matched by his ability to win without really paying attention.  Contact Tim.

Deanna (aka The Doll) Deanna is the real power behind the throne.  Married (for reasons no one really can understand) to the Brain, Deanna keeps him in check by battling to the end in every game.  Whether against your team or on it, watch out, she’s probably going to win.  Outside of gaming Deanna spends her days working at a spa in Scottsdale and studying to become a music teacher.  Contact Deanna.

Michelle (aka I’m Watching TV) Michelle is the video gamer in the bunch.  More likely to be found with a Wiimote in her had than dice, watch out, because she’ll own you on the big screen regardless of your skill level.

Mark (aka mercutiom) Mark is the Tech geek of the crew and a superior strategist to boot.  He may not win every game, but he’ll probably beat you the second time around.  He also runs and maintains this site, the Flickr group, the Twitter account, and pretty much everything else that’s web based.  Other than gaming Mark is a supervisor for a local web hosting company, a freelance web designer, and writer.  He lives in Tempe, AZ with three loud roommates and three louder dogs.  Contact Mark.

Olivia (aka Olivia) Olivia is the newbie to the gaming world, but don’t let that fool you.  She may not know the games she’s playing, but her skill, and the ever present Luck Dragon, keeps her winning more times than not.  Not just a beauty, Olivia currently resides in Orlando, FL where she attends Barry Law School.  Contact Olivia.

Carter (aka The Mascot)Carter can’t play, but he’s always involved in Game Nights.  He does spend a majority of the time trying to eat the game pieces and steal gamers’ pizza, but we all love him anyway.  Contact Carter.
