Recent Board Game News

I just wanted to throw out some recent articles I’ve found about board games in our live today to share with everyone.

This one is about a grant given in Superior, WI to four seventh graders to purchase board games for their gaming club. I wish I were smart enough to write a grant proposal today, much less in seventh grade. I see some future leaders here.

This one is about games that are still fun for adults. Most are the typical board games you’ll find at Target and Wal-Mart, but I’ll agree, they’re all still good games.

Here’s one from Salt Lake City about all the smaller games we play and how they’re reinvigorating the genre. We love our small publishers and are happy to see a few of our favorite in print.

This one is from an ongoing series on board games from AnnArbor.com. They’re highlighting “Mousetrap” and “Dominion” in this one. I would recommend catching up on the series if you have the time.

Finally, we have this article from Chip Chicklets where they review Lava Dragon from LEGO. We mentioned the LEGO games recently, and I’d personally love to get my hand on some. Looks like it might be worth it.
