Monopoly The Movie?

Yes, you read that correctly.  According to the AMC news feed a film version of the classic game Monopoly is in the works. It looks like Ridley Scott (of Alien and Black Hawk Down) is slated to direct the film which plans to release sometime in 2012.  (A surer sign of that year’s prophesied Apocalypse.)
