Some great things have come out of Canada; Bare-naked Ladies, John Candy, Canadian Bacon, Wayne Gretzky, Celine Dion. Okay, some are better than others, but my favorite thing has to be Crokinole. Crokinole is a hybrid table-top version of Curling, and Shuffleboard. It’s played on a round surface and you ‘flick’ your discs to try and get closest to the center of the board, whilst also trying to remove your opponents from play.
The board isn’t cheap. A good board will set you back around $200.00, but it’s just the same as investing in a foosball table or an air hockey table. We’ve had ours for only a few weeks and it’s logging more hours on a consistent basis than our Wii. The review is pretty short and sweet, and that’s because the game is essentially really easy to learn. you can take forever perfecting new shots and increasing your skill, but to learn at first takes only minutes.
Enjoy the review, Deanna gets a really nice 20-point shot and Tim hits an amazing bank shot for a 20 in the demo game. I love the game, and I’m certain we’ll play it until the wood is worn down.
