A Girl’s Gab on Games

Posted by: In: Game Life|Players

Brian has asked me to write about board games from a woman’s perspective and other aspects relating to board games in general.

Growing up I never played many board games besides Monopoly, Candyland, PayDay and Loopin’ Louie.  It wasn’t until I met Brian 4 years ago that I was really introduced to the world of board games.  I have played many themed games, cooperative games, games I can’t pronounce, strategy games, and yes, the epic games too.  I wouldn’t consider myself a board game geek, but just a girl who likes to play board games. Eventually I will discuss my favorite and least favorite games from my point of view.

Brian and I have game nights about 2-6 times a month and proudly boast about our closet full of games, some where near 120! We have anywhere from 4 people for smaller game nights up to 40 for the larger game nights (all crowded into a small two bedroom apartment…it’s great fun!) In future posts I will discuss the successes and failures of our game nights.

I am hoping to use this posting as a way to show my love for this hobby and share insightful information.  If anyone has any ideas of things they would like for me to discuss, just shoot me an email!

  • Roux Warrior: Yucata.de is turn based though. While it is easier to get rolling in a game, it is more frustrating to play during game. This may depend on the game
  •  Shower Cubicle: Plants Vs. Zombies should be given the title "game of the year", this game is so addictive`*;
